Curaçao is the largest of five islands that together make up the Netherland Antilles. Located 1,100 miles south east of Miami, 42 miles north of Venezuela, and 56 miles south of Aruba, Curaçao enjoys the cooling effect of the balmy westerly trade winds, while conveniently avoiding the hurricane belt and most of the worst storms in the Atlantic Ocean.
